VW wrestlers split with Elida, Bath

The Van Wert varsity wrestling team went up against two Western Buckeye League rivals and split the difference, winning 44-30 against the Bulldogs and losing 60-9 against the Wildcats of Bath.

Terrin Contreras, at 285 pounds, and Colten Royer, at 160 pounds, were the only Cougar wrestlers to win matches against both teams. Six other wrestlers had victories over Elida, but lost matches to Bath.
