Knights stay perfect in league play

CONVOY — The Crestview Lady Knights continued their undefeated Northwest Conference season, moving to 5-0 in league play by defeating the Paulding Lady Panthers 61-33.  The Lady Knights tightened their defense in the second half, holding Paulding to 15 second-half points and 32 percent shooting on the evening.

Offensively, Crestview dished out 20 assists in route to shooting 50 percent from the field. Crestview was led offensively by Emily Bauer’s 18 points and Lindsey Motycka, who scored 13 points. The Lady Knights also received a spark off the bench, with Terra Crowle and Mariah Henry scoring 7 and 6 points, respectively.

Crestview moves to 12-1 on the season and will be in action again this Saturday night when they face Delphos St. John’s at 6 p.m. at Ray Etzler Gymnasium.

Crestview also came out victorious in the junior varsity game 26-11 (click here for a varsity boxscore and more statistics).
