Winifred R. Ruhlin

Winifred R. Ruhlin, 86, of Van Wert, died at 9:05 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013, at The Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.

She was born December 5, 1928, in Fostoria, the daughter of the late Walter and Inez Audrey (Foor) Schaadt. On October 31, 1948, in Van Wert, she married Robert D. Ruhlin, who preceded her in death on August 9, 2012.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

A daughter, Tracy Ruhlin-Githens (March 6, 2003); two sisters, Phyllis Nihiser and Alice Farmer, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor W. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours will be an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Calvary Evangelical Church or a charity of donor’s choice.
