Luella C. Kortokrax

Luella C. Kortokrax, 97, of Ottoville, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011, at The Meadows of Kalida.

She was born September 2, 1913, in Fort Jennings, the daughter of the late Joseph and Christina (Berelsman) Martin. On August 24, 1931, she married Leo C. Kortokrax, who preceded her in death in 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Kortokrax of Kalida and Jerry (Bea) Kortokrax of Lima; two daughters, Marianne (Jacob “Jack”) Schimmoeller of Fort Jennings and Unalee (Arch) Kious of Ottoville; 19 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.

A daughter-in-law, Donna Kortokrax; and two grandsons also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ottoville, with Father John Stites officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Ottoville.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, 209 W. Third St., Delphos, where a parish wake and family rosary will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
