Americanism test high scorer
Crestview High School announced Thursday that the American Legion of Ohio has presented junior Tanner Skelton with an award for his high score on the Ohio Americanism Test. Skelton was one of the top three scoring junior boys in Ohio on the test, which allows high school students to evaluate their knowledge on American history and American government. Typically, approximately 64,000 students take the test annually. As a result of his high score, Skelton will travel to Washington, D.C., with other test winners and American Legion officers. Here, Skelton is shown here with his parents, Tina and Wes Skelton (seated), and as well as Gerald White, commander of the American Legion/Ohio. Also included in the photo are (back row) Crestview guidance counselor Dave Springer, Convoy American Legion officers Jerry Etzler, Loren Pancacke, and Dennis McCoy and Crestview High School Principal Mike Biro.
