Approximately 100 of the best high school vocalists from across Ohio will participate in the All State Choir and will perform at the OMEA state convention at the Columbus Convention Center.  The choir will be conducted by Joe Miller, conductor of two of America’s most renowned choral ensembles: the Westminster Choir and the Westminster Symphonic Choir. He is also director of choral activities at Westminster Choir College of Rider University.

Hoverman’s prior musical achievements include being selected twice for the OMEA District III Honors Choir. This year, he was also chosen to receive the District Choir Boyd Loughridge Scholarship and was selected in 2010 to the OMEA District III Honors Band.

He recently had the honor of performing with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra as a member of the Van Wert Men’s Community Chorus and performed as a member of the community Messiah chorus.

He was selected to sing in the Van Wert County Young Artists Recital based on his outstanding performance at Solo and Ensemble contests and was also selected to sing with the U.S. Army Field Band Soldiers Chorus.
