Marshal E. Moser

Marshal E. “Ike” Moser, 58, of Van Wert, died at 12:22 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

He was born January 28, 1953, in Van Wert, the son of Erma J. (Baker) Pratt, who survives in Haviland, and the late Robert W. Friend.

Survivors include a special friend, Debra Stephens and her daughter, Leighann, of Van Wert; three children, Rob (Leslie) Moser of Van Wert, Chad (Stephenie) Moser of Burlington, Ky., and Jamie (Mark) Miller of Cincinnati; a brother, Michael D. (Cindy) Moser of Haviland; three sisters, Gloria J. (William) Pabst and Mary A. Friend, both of Haviland, and Darlene R. (Chad) McMillan of New Haven, Ind.; and six grandchildren.

A brother, Robert A. Friend; and one sister, Emily Pierce, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Rev. Dillon Staas officiating.

Calling hours are from noon-3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
