Larry Duane Wortman

Larry Duane Wortman, 70, of Van Wert, died at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

He was born February 15, 1942, in Mishawaka, Ind., the son of the late Ray and Thelma (Brugh) Wortman. On March 6, 1966, he married Marilyn (Converse) Wortman, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two children, Richard L. Buggle of Charleston, S.C., and Jeffery (Julie) Buggle of Van Wert; three sisters, Betty (Dave) Mollenkopf of Rochester, Ind., and Virginia Dowler and Arlene Gamble, both of Van Wert; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Steve Savage officiating.

Calling hours are from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
