Girl Scout cookies arrive

On Wednesday, Girl Scout Cookies arrived in Van Wert. Girl Scout volunteers spent Wednesday afternoon sorting thousands of cookies to get them ready for Girl Scouts to pick up. Cookie booths start this Friday, February 15.  Those who would like to purchase Girl Scout cookies can find a cookie booth by going to www.girlscoutsofwesternohio.org and click on the “Cookie Locator”. There is also a Cookie Locator app for smart phones. To order the old-fashioned way, call Carla Smith-Shaffer at 419.749.4246. Cookies will available until mid-March. Those interested can also donate cookies for Heroes in Action, a military support outreach program based in Toledo that is committed to supporting service members and their families. (photo submitted)
