Helen Lenore Neate
Helen Lenore Neate, 97, of rural Van Wert County (York Township), died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born October 31, 1915, in Willshire Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Harry Gilbert and Nellie M. (Brown) Ault. On February 19, 1938, she married Harry Thomas Neate, who preceded her in death on July 5, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, Roger L. (Pat) Neate and Ronald D. (Pamela) Neat, both of rural Van Wert; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 14 stepgreat-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Roger Foust of Lima.
A sister, Alice Foust; one nephew, Gary Foust; a grandson, Blaine Edward Neate; and a stepgrandson, Erick M. Maunz, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Anthony Perry officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
