Nellie Leona Wilhelm

Nellie Leona Wilhelm, 91, of Paulding, died Monday, February 18, 2013, at her residence.

She was born August 15, 1921, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Raymond and Vira (Shrider) Smalley. On June 27, 1944, she married Theodore Wilhelm, who preceded her in death on January 13, 1986.

Survivors include four sons, T. Gary (Ann) Wilhelm, Michael Wilhelm and David (Vicki) Wilhelm, all of Paulding, and Dan (Laurie) Wilhelm of Oakwood; three daughters, Rita (John) Daeger and Barbara (Howard) Baska, both of Paulding, and Jeanette (Terry) Prisk of Highland, Mich.; two brothers, Paul (Betty) Smalley and Bob Smalley, both of Antwerp; two sisters, Helen Beck and Lodena Brown, both of Paulding; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Anthony Wilhelm and K. Paul Wilhelm; a grandson, Alex Doster; and one brother, Bill Smalley, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, February 22, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish in Paulding, with Father G. Allan Fillman officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, February 21, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening, and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Masses.
