After celebrating FCCLA last week, FFA students are enjoying celebrating their week. So far, the week has consisted of dirt pudding on Monday, a chili cook-off on Tuesday, and a pizza party yesterday. This morning, they held a breakfast, which many students claim to be there favorite event. Tomorrow, they will wrap up the week with desserts.

“The purpose of FFA week is to appreciate agriculture and have a good fellowship with our fellow FFA members,” senior Adam Schumm said.

Knight Vision has been preparing throughout the week for their upcoming competition this Saturday at Huntington North. After a disappointing finish at the previous competition, they are anticipating doing very well this weekend.

“Hopefully we can try to do our best and make it to finals. We are working on being together as group, with less individual work and more teamwork,” junior Kali Coleman said.

Last Friday, the varsity and JV boys traveled to Columbus Grove and came home with victories for both teams. On Saturday they played at home against New Knoxville and had much success once again. Varsity ended the weekend with a score of 39-26 on Friday and 60-36 on Saturday.

The girls’ varsity team will play against Delphos St. John’s or Parkway for their first tournament game, and have hopes of winning and moving on to the next level.

“Our main goal is to make it to Columbus to play in the state game,” senior Mariah Henry said.

To wrap up the McDonald’s tournament, the junior high basketball boys’ team played in the championship game against Spencerville on Saturday. They were defeated, leaving them as runner-up for the tournament.
