NeighborLink group gets new directors

NeighborLink Van Wert news

NeighborLink Van Wert, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping neighbors help neighbors, has announced Mike and Deb Bagley as executive directors.

NeighborLink Van Wert relies upon community members, groups, churches and organizations to volunteer time and resources to those with unmet needs. Its online network creates a space where needs become visible to a growing network of volunteers who are equipped to help.

“I am so excited about Mike and Deb taking this organization over. They have tremendous hearts, incredible insights, and a powerful network of volunteers ready to stand with them in this mission,” said Lindsay Hotmire, founder of NeighborLink Van Wert. “NeighborLink holds the potential to transform a community, to challenge our perception of others, and to encourage us to live out the principles of our faith.”

The Bagleys, lifelong residents of Van Wert, have spent the last two decades quietly impacting the community around them. When reflecting on NeighborLink’s purpose, Deb Bagley referred to the parable of the Good Samaritan. The focus, she said, is “on taking care of our neighbor, always asking the question, ‘if I don’t stop to help this man, what will become of him.’”

NeighborLink Van Wert will operate its office from Trinity United Methodist Church, 220 S. Walnut St. in Van Wert. To become involved with NeighborLink Van Wert as a volunteer or to inquire about a need, visit the organization’s website at www.nlvw.org or call 419.238.9541.
