Robert Richard Reinhart

Robert Richard Reinhart, 85, of Defiance, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at his residence.

He was born February 17, 1928, in Allen County, Ind., the son of the late Leo “Jack” and Sarah “Sadie” (Foltz) Reinhart. On January 12, 1953, he married Ruth D. (Troyer) Reinhart, who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Dennis (Sue) Reinhart of Oakwood and David (Reinhilda) Reinhart of Morehead, Ky.; a daughter, Sue (Patrick) Irving of Napoleon; two grandsons; two stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Maurice, Eugene and Donald Reinhart; two sisters, Carolyn Dietrick and Florence Cox; a grandson, Andrew Reinhart; and one granddaughter, Sarah Reinhart, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with Pastor Tim Burton officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in rural Paulding County, with graveside military rites performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 587.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
