Knight girls 6th at Tiger track meet

VERSAILLES — The Crestview High School girls’ track team finished sixth in the Versailles Lady Tiger Classique over the weekend. The Lady Knights are now 4-5 on the young season. Crestview finished in the top eight places 11 out of a possible 17 times during the meet. Russia won the meet with a score of 139.5, while Spencerville finished second with 130.5 points.

Top finishers for the Knights included a third-place finish for Claire Zaleski in the 200-meter dash in a time of 30.81 seconds. Zaleski was also fourth in the 100-meter dash (14.8 seconds) and in the 400-meter dash (1:06.69). The Crestview girls’ 4×400-meter relay team was also fourth, while the Knights’ 4×100-meter relay team was fifth on the day.

Paige Michael also placed fifth in the high jump, while the 4×200-meter relay team was sixth overall. Finishing seventh were the 4×800-meter relay team, Leslie Skelton in the 400-meter dash, and Bekka Tracey in the shotput, while Darrian Hoerig was eighth in the 100-meter hurdles.
