Lancers beat Perry for 5-0 record

The Lincolnview Lancers hosted the Lima Perry Commodores Tuesday evening and came away with a 5-2 victory to raise their record to 5-0 on the season.
The Commodores opened up the scoring by tallying a run in the second inning on an RBI single by Lambert. Scoring from second, Johnson, who also single to lead off the inning.
Lincolnview responded by tying the score in the bottom half as Julia Thatcher ( 3-3) singled to center, moved to third on a Jodie Doner single and scored on a Kaitlyn Brant single.
Lincolnview tacked on another run in the third innings as Baylee Neate ripped a single to center. Neate then stole second and third and scored on a Lauren Calvert single.
Lincolnview touched up Abbie Patton for three runs in the fourth inning as Thatcher ripped a double to the right center field fence. Doner reached on an error and moved to third on a RBI single by Brant. Doner and Brant scored after Neate ripped a triple to right center to put the Lancers up 5-1 after four innings of play.
Lima Perry plated two runs the rest of the way with Trent ripping a triple down the right field line that bounced away from the fielder. Trent scored on a Lancer miscue. They tallied one more in the seventh on a throwing error.
The winning pitcher was Ashley McClure, who went the distance, giving up eight hits and one earned run. She struck out seven batters and walked three. Abbie Patton suffered the loss, going six innings and giving up 10 hits, while striking out five and walking none.
