MSVW seeking ArtRageous event artists

Main Street Van Wert has issued a call for artists to participate in the ninth annual ArtRageous on Main, to be held Friday and Saturday, June 7-8.

ArtRageous is a juried art festival coinciding with the Van Wert Peony Festival. ArtRageous showcases unique and original art, giving local and regional artists an opportunity to display and sell their work at a time when thousands of people will be visiting Van Wert.

ArtRageous on Main is hosted in Fountain Park at the corner of Main and Jefferson streets in downtown Van Wert. The exhibitor cost is $40 per artist by May 24, or $50 after the deadline. Artwork must be original (no commercial kits, imports, dealers or mass-produced items). Any media is allowed; professionally presented limited reproductions of original work are permitted.

Setup will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 7. Festival hours are noon-9 p.m. on June 7 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, June 8. All items should be removed from the park by 8 p.m. on Saturday.
