Lincolnview track teams win tri-meet

PAULDING – The Lincolnview varsity track teams competed in a tri-meet at Paulding on Tuesday against the Panthers and Continental. Both the Lancer track teams were victorious to sweep their second meet of the season.

“The kids competed hard tonight; I like the way they approached the meet and how they handle themselves from beginning to end,” said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon. “They are really buying into what the coaching staff is asking them to do. I definitely saw some things tonight that were encouraging, and will be interested to see how we do in an invitational setting on Friday night against strong competition.”

The Lancers will compete Friday in the Wayne Trace Invitational track meet.

Kaylee Thatcher, 100-meter hurdles

Anna Gorman, 800- and 1,600-meter runs

The 4×200-meter and 4×800-meter relay teams

Boys

Kade Carey, high jump, long jump, 400-meter dash

Evan Williams, 110-meter hurdles

Bayley Tow, 800- and 1,600-meter runs

Ben Bilimek, 3200-meter run
