C’view classes planning walk-a-thon

CONVOY — The Crestview High School senior English classes are hosting a walk-a-thon on Saturday, April 27, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on the Crestview High School track.

The funds received through this walk will be used to support a scholarship to honor both long-time teacher, coach and mentor Jon Amundson, who died in September 2012, and the Sandra Dealey family. Mrs. Dealey was killed in an accident on U.S. 30 near New Haven, Ind., in early January 2013.

Many area businesses and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans are partnering with the seniors in this project.

The public is invited to join the seniors at the track to “Walk-It-Forward” to help others. A $5 donation at the gate is requested.
