Fleming 2nd at multi-state track meet

MANSFIELD — Van Wert High School runner Jared Fleming was invited to participate in Mehock-Mansfield Relays Invitational Mile.

This is the showcase event for the prestigious multiple-state track meet. The mile was last run here in 1978and the top 10 distance runners from Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Ontario Canada were invited to contest the race.

The highly competitive race saw Fleming run a strong 4:23.46 on a cold and windy day to finish in second place.
