Man hurt in early morning house fire

A house fire at 220 Kenwick Drive early Wednesday morning apparently caused relatively minor injury to a resident of the house, according to unofficial reports.

According to reports, firefighters were called to the residence at approximately 12:11 a.m. Wednesday on the report of a fire at the Kenwick Drive residence.

According to dispatchers for the Van Wert Police Department, a person from the residence was taken to Van Wert County Hospital for treatment of burns apparently received while trying to drag a burning mattress from a bedroom of the home.

No other information was available at 7 a.m. Wednesday.
