Lancer baseball team beats Raiders

Lincolnview baseball news

HAVILAND — The Lincolnview baseball team earned a 5-2 non-conference victory over Wayne Trace on Friday at Wayne Trace.

Although the Lancers again struggled offensively, Jalen Roberts pitched a strong game and Lincolnview’s defense again played well, Lincolnview Coach Kevin Longstreth said.

“We had to rely on our pitching and defense once again, and they both did a good job of getting us the win,” the coach explained. “Jalen Roberts came back from a rough outing the last game he pitched and responded well.”

While the Lancer offense wasn’t quite what Longstreth would like to see, it did at least have it positives.

“We got a timely hit when we needed it tonight from Nick Leeth,” the Lincolnview coach noted. “Hopefully, as he gets going offensively, everyone else will follow.”

The Lancers’ next game will be Monday, May 6, at Bluffton.
