Jerry Lee Amweg
Jerry Lee “Monk” Amweg, 65, of Ohio City, died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born June 18, 1947, in Van Wert, the son of the late Daniel Hamilton and Louella Gwendolyn (Seger) Amweg. On June 3, 2003, he married CarieAnn Jo (Bellinger) Amweg, who survives in Ohio City.
 Other survivors include a son, Daniel (Amanda) Amweg of Grover Hill; two daughters, Kathy (Pat) Wilhelm of Decatur, Ind., and Payton Eloise Amweg, at home; two stepdaughters, Nicole (Pete) Boaz of Van Wert and Jody Kline; one brother, Jackie L. (Christina) Amweg of Ohio City; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

(Christina) Amweg of Ohio City; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Rosella Krick and Peggy Eileen Miller, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Simon Young officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honor guard of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both in Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the funeral home.
