Bostyx to appear in Fountain Park today
Summer Music Series news
The Fountain Park Summer Music Series returns to the park tonight with the music of the legendary Seventies and Eighties rock bands Boston and Styx. The concert begins in Fountain Park in downtown Van Wert at 7 p.m. Underwritten by The Van Wert County Foundation, the concert is free and open to the public.

Bostyx features David Victor handling the vocals of the amazing Brad Delp and Tommy Shaw, while drummer Glenn Jost handles the very precise vocals of Dennis DeYoung. Both Jost and lead guitarist Roby Duron also have alto backing vocals, while bassist Manny Aguirre and keyboardist Dave Hamilton are excellent tenors.
This unique blend of talent allows Bostyx to recreate the thick harmonies of Boston and Styx – all completely live! The end result is a band able to accurately reproduce the greatest hits, as well as some of the deeper album cuts, of these two iconic American acts. Victor actually just recently completed a tour as co-lead vocalist and lead guitarist for the actual Boston band.
Other concerts in the series coming soon are the Toledo Jazz Orchestra (“Sounds of the Big Band era”) on June 28 and the Lima Pops Orchestra on July 5.
Area residents are invited to bring their own chairs or blankets to enjoy this outdoor concert. The Fountain Park Summer Music Series is sponsored by The Van wert County Foundation, in cooperation with the Van Wert City Parks & Recreation Department.
