Community Concert Band to play Friday

VW Area Community Concert Band news

This Friday, July 12, the Van Wert Area Community Concert Band will present a concert in the band shell of Fountain Park in Van Wert. The program will begin at 7 p.m.

Music performed at the concert will be new and contain a wide variety of musical genres, including marches, dance tunes, swing, rock and roll, and unique concert selections.

A food stand will also be available, starting at 5:30. The local Order of Eastern Star organization is sponsoring the food stand.

Join the band, directed by Richard Sherrick and featuring members from Van Wert, Elida, Lima, Delphos, Convoy, Payne, Chattanooga, Middle Point, Decatur, Ind., and Rockford for this entertaining concert.

Band members appreciate the continued support of their local communities. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be cancelled.
