5K run/walk to be held in Rockford

ROCKFORD — The ninth annual Shanes Crossing 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday, July 20, at 8:30 in Rockford. Race day registration starts at 7:30 a.m. at Shanes Park.

The flat, beautiful course goes out and back, starting and ending at the park. Refreshments, door prize drawings and awards will be held at the park after the run.

This run is part of the Mercer Health summer countywide running series. You must complete 6 of 8 events in the 5K Challenge series to receive high quality running shirt and to be eligible to receive age group awards.
