‘Golf for Kids Sake’ fundraiser date set

CELINA — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer, Auglaize, and Van Wert Counties is inviting teams to participate Friday, July 26, in the 18th annual Golf for Kids’ Sake. The event will be held at the Mercer County Elks golf course. There will be a shotgun start at noon.

Many people have commented that this is their favorite golf outing. So come join friends and business professionals for 18 holes of golf. The entry fee is $70 per golfer. The fee includes a box lunch, green and cart fees, catered dinner, featuring Winner’s marinated pork chops, and a chance at a $10,000 hole in one prize. Only the first 24 teams registered can compete and spots are filling fast.

In addition, there are many opportunities to win great prizes this year. Participants are able to purchase raffle tickets to win various prizes. This year’s Grand Prize is an overnight stay in Cincinnati, four tickets to a Cincinnati Reds game, and four tickets to Kings Island. In addition, there will be prizes for the longest drive, longest putt, and the ball closest to the pin. There will also be a chance to win some great Hole-in-One prizes sponsored by Grand Lake Eye Care.

Wells Fargo/Katterhenry Investment Group is this year’s event sponsors and Birdie Level sponsors include Cooper Farms, Jim Christman of Coldwell Banker Plus One, and Schwieterman Custom Body Shop.
