Charles James Bilimek
Charles James Bilimek, 60, of Van Wert, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, at his residence. He lived a happy life and passed away peacefully.

He was born October 17, 1952, in Portsmouth, Va., the son of Mary Elizabeth “Betty” (Murphy) Bilimek, who survives in Van Wert, and the late James Bilimek. On April 9, 1993, he married Cynthia Kinstle, who preceded him in death on July 31, 2003.
He is survived by five children, Shelbi Bilimek and Carrie (Hobie) McKeddie, both of Van Wert, Matthew (Carrie) Bilimek of Waynesfield, James “JJ” (Katelyn) Bilimek of Columbus and Jaime Bilimek of Alger; a stepdaughter, Brittany Agler of Defiance; three brothers, Rick (Vickie) Bilimek of Middle Point, Mike (Dorothy) Bilimek of Rockford and Joe (Connie) Bilimek of Van Wert; three sisters, Barb Thompson of Van Wert, Ginny (Darryl) Ricketts of Rockford and DeDe (Rick) Runyon of Ohio City; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A sister, Christina Allmandinger, also preceded him in death.
Jim had been employed at the former Kennedy Manufacturing Company, GKN and Roundy’s, all in Van Wert. He was a 1971 graduate of Van Wert High School and had served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.
He had been an active member of the former Van Wert Jaycees, and he loved to bowl, fish, pay cards and spend time with his family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, July 26, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Deacon Andrew McMahon officiating.
Calling hours are from 2-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
