Delphos robbery suspect in Muni Court
Delphos Police Dept. news
DELPHOS — Delphos robbery suspect Andrew J. Miller, 27, was bound over to the Van Wert County Grand Jury after he waived a preliminary hearing in Van Wert Municipal Court on Thursday.

Judge Jill Leatherman continued a $100,000 cash bond on Miller, who is currently incarcerated in the Van Wert County Correctional Facility. He is charged with robbery, a felony of the second degree.
Delphos police investigators believe Miller is one of two masked men who entered a home in the 400 block of South Canal Street in Delphos on the evening of July 10. An 18-year-old man was assaulted during the commission of a theft offense at the residence and was treated for injuries at a local hospital.
The masked men then fled the scene on foot after the robbery, after taking a television, cash, wallets, cell phones and other personal property.
The grand jury will convene next week to hear the case.
Police Chief Kyle Fittro also reported that a search warrant was served at 210 ½ N. Jefferson St. in Delphos in connection with an investigation by the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force into reports of a drug house there.
The search warrant found a small quantity of suspected drug paraphernalia, but no one was inside the residence at the time the search warrant was served. Police officials will discuss the case with prosecutors before the filing of any formal charges.
Chief Fittro noted that there have been 50 people arrested on 104 separate drug-related charges in Delphos since January 2010. A total of 21 search warrants have been served in that city within the same time period.
The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force is comprised of officers from the Allen County and Van Wert County sheriff’s departments, Lima and Delphos police departments and multiple state and federal agencies.
