Gregory C. Jenkins

Gregory C. Jenkins, 56, of Van Wert, died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center after an extended illness.

He was born July 17, 1957, in Van Wert, the son of the late Carroll Jenkins and Shirley (Bell) Davis. On June 27, 1994, he married Rebecca (Lucas) Jenkins, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include three stepchildren, Lori (Sarah Garman) Johnson of Fort Wayne, Ind., Cory Fetzer of Van Wert and Kristen Fetzer of Maumee; a brother-in-law, Bill Spoor of Van Wert; two sisters, Cynde (Mike) Wamsley of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sandy Eversole of Van Wert; a sister-in-law, Jan Jenkins of Van Wert; and three grandchildren.

A brother, Rick Jenkins; and one sister, Chris Spoor, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating.

There will be no calling hours.
