Minnie E. Burk

Minnie E. Burk, 88, of Van Wert, died at 11:37 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born November 9, 1924, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late William Henry and Hattie Emma (Wayman) Wooderson. She married Russell James Burk, who preceded her in death on June 14, 1972.

Survivors include a son, William R. Burk of Van Wert; one daughter, Dee Ann Zimmerman of Van Wert; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A son, David Burk; and a brother and sister (in infancy) preceded her in death on March 24, 1968.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday, August 19, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Deacon Andy McMahon officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, August 18, at the funeral home.
