Esther L. ‘Dottie’ Agler

Esther L. “Dottie” Agler, 91, of Van Wert, died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born May 28, 1922, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Clarence Burt and Ethel May (Hummel) Waldron. On December 15, 1940, in Newport, Ky., she married Bruce A. Agler, who preceded her in death on April 15, 1992.

Survivors include four children, Danny Agler of Convoy and Larry (Bonnie) Agler, Steven Agler and Connie Barnes, all of Van Wert; a sister, Freda Hallard of Delphos; 13 grandchildren; a stepgrandson; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Two brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, also preceded her in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with the Rev. David Ray officiating.

There will be no calling hours.

Preferred memorials: American Cancer Society.
