The Van Wert Lady Cougar volleyball team hosted Paulding on Thursday, defeating the Lady Panthers in three games by scores of 25-10, 25-8 and 25-9. With the win, the Lady Cougars are now 2-0 on the season.

Individual varsity stats

Serving – Alexa Dunlap, 23/24, including 16 straight points in the third game; Claire Gamble, 13/14

Hitting – Alexis Dowdy, 8 kills; Dunlap, 6 kills

Defensive digs – Dunlap, 14 digs

Setting – Riley Jones, 10 assists; Amanda Coplin, 10 assists.

The Lady Cougars are back in action on Monday when they take on the Delphos St. John’s Lady Blue Jays.
