Sandra S. Hughes

Sandra S. “Sandy” Hughes, 66, of Van Wert, died during the late afternoon on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born June 15, 1947, in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Ruby (Parker) McIntosh.

Survivors include her fiancé, Robert “Rick” Schriver of Van Wert; two children, Scott (Jan Wells) Williams of Van Wert and Brett (Holly Baker) Agler of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two brothers, Lonnie (Karen) McIntosh of Convoy and Mike McIntosh of Kentucky; four sisters, Pat Decker of Fort Wayne, Betty Tyas of Van Wert, Judy (Bill) Hinton of Coopersville, Mich., and Janet (Greg Morehead) Tracy of Convoy; and three grandchildren.

Two brothers, Johnny McIntosh and William “Bozo” McIntosh Jr.; and a sister, Deloris McIntosh, also preceded her in death.

A celebration of life will be conducted from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, September 7, at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, 111 N. Shannon St., in Van Wert.

There will be no other services or calling hours.
