Lancers do well at CG Invitational

Lincolnview cross country news

COLUMBUS GROVE — The Lancer cross country teams traveled to the Columbus Grove Invitational this past weekend.

Bayley Tow continued his strong start to the season and placed second in the Gray Division race in a time of 16:37. His runner-up finish led his team to a third place finish behind Minster and host Columbus Grove. Rounding out the scoring for the boys included Ben Bilimek (20th), Alex Rodriguez (21st), Tracey West (38th), and Colton Snyder (42nd).

On the girls’ side, Anna Gorman placed 29th in a season best time of 22:14.

“There were some positives today mixed in with some things we really need to improve,” said Lincolnview Coach Matt Langdon. “The challenge we face now is finding consistency.

“We can be very good at times, but can we do that each and every race?” Coach Langdon added. “That is what the team is going to have to focus on in the coming weeks.”

The coach was pleased with Tow’s tremendous performance, noting that he was pleased to see the runner’s times continue to improve.

“I am very excited to see his times come down in the weeks to come as the conditions for racing become more advantageous,” Langdon said.
