Lady Knight v-ball team falls to ‘Grove

CONVOY — The Crestview Lady Knights played for a share of the Northwest Conference title on Tuesday, but fell in three games, 22-25, 13-25 and 25-27 to Columbus Grove. The Knights are now 14-7 overall and end with a 6-2 record in the NWC.

Crestview will return to action on Saturday as the Knights close out the regular season against the Hicksville Aces, starting at 10 a.m.

The Knight junior varsity team was also defeated in straight games.

Leading the Knight varsity team were the following:

Serving – Haley Helm, 12/12 with two aces; Mackenzie Riggenbach, 11/11 with two aces; Mallory Bowen, 11/11; and Tianna Rager, 8/8.

Hitting – Courtney Trigg, 11 kills; Helm, four kills; Megan Hartman, four kills; and Grace Callow, three kills.

Setting – Riggenbach, 16 assists.

Digs – Rager, 15 digs; Bowen, seven digs.

Blocks – Trigg and Callow, five blocks apiece.
