Earl H. Pohlman

Earl H. Pohlman, 81, of Delphos, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born October 20, 1931, in Dephos, the son of the late Otto and Cora (Fecker) Pohlman. On February 28, 1976, he married Esther (Michel) Dickman, who preceded him in death on December 22, 2012.

American Flag for obituaries 6-2011Survivors include three stepsons, Denny (Maribeth) Dickman of Van Wert, Byron (Ellen) Dickman of Germany and Glenn (Barb) Dickman of Delphos; five stepdaughters, Cynthia (Ray Hobbs) Altman of Findlay, Darlene (Paul) Langhals of Cloverdale; Diane Bishop of Ottawa, Deb (Jerry) Dunnigan of Columbus Grove and Marcia (Larry) Klima of Ottawa; two sisters, Ethel Schwinnen  of Landeck and Imogene (Bob) Ellerbrock of Ottawa; 18 stepgrandchildren; 42 stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Arthur Pohlman; and two sisters, Rosemary Noonan and Eleanor Wannemacher, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, October 14, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Dave Reinhart officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, October 13, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.

Preferred memorials: Alzheimer’s Association or St. John’s Parish Foundation in Delphos.
