Lady Knights starting off a new season

By Kirstin Hicks

The Crestview Lady Knights are excited to start off their basketball season with their first day of practice tomorrow and are getting themselves prepared for the Tip-Off Classic. With practices starting tomorrow they all know that the games are just around the corner. Sophomore Kenadie Speith said, “I am excited because I will be able to see all my friends that weren’t in a fall sport with me.”

They all know that they are going to have to work hard at practice to be successful again this year. Junior Kennis Mercer said, “I am really excited for the first day of practice because I am ready to get back with all my teammates and play the sport I love.”

The Knights had a great season last year going 22-3 in the season and were sectional champs and northwest conference champs. This year they have a lot of experience coming back and everyone has high expectations for them to do well.

There first game of the season is against Ottoville during the Tip-Off. Ottoville was the team to knock them out of the tournament last year and the Knights want revenge.  Junior Terra Crowle said, “I am pumped because they knocked us out of the tournament last year and I want revenge.” They are all pumped and ready to go this season to try to go even further in the tournament.
