Edna M. Metz

Edna M. Metz, 81, of Van Wert, died at 11:38 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born March 20, 1932, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Herbert and Beatrice (Jenkins) Lamb. She married Roy R. Metz, who preceded her in death on July 31, 1976.

Survivors include three children, Patty (Lowell) Sidle of Van Wert, Ken (Patty) Metz of Hamilton, Ind., and Herb (Deb) Metz of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a brother, Howard (Angela) Lamb of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A son, Daniel Metz; and two sisters, Ellen Collins and Pearl Maxson, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, November 6, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Josh Tissot officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
