Knights excited about playoffs

The Crestview football team has made it to playoffs. The Knights have not been to playoffs for football since 2005. Knight fans are pumped and ready to watch the game Friday night. The football teams has worked very hard this season and are excited the hard work paid off. “It was a good feeling knowing last week wasn’t our last game. I am excited to get to play at least one extra game this season,” said Junior Jordan Roop.
Crestview’s award winning show choir, Knight Vision, has been preparing since July for their first competition. The show choir is traveling to Ada on Saturday to compete against other Class C schools. The group placed second at Ada last year and are looking forward to competing their again. “I am looking forward to just going out there and performing with all of the seniors,” said sophomore Nevada Smith.
“I am expecting to have a great first experience. I’m excited to perform on the stage and see how well I can do and then improve that as the season continues,” said freshman Kenzi Case.
Scholastic bowl competed Saturday at the Northwest Conference. The team won first place. This is the fourth year in a row that the team has been NWC champions. “We had a good team effort; everyone contributed and worked hard for the win. We qualified for regionals and look forward to going,” said senior Tanner Skelton.
“We all worked really hard for NWC and were excited and proud to be champions four years in a row,” said senior Sarah Klinger.
The football team isn’t the only one moving on past regular season. Junior Mycah Grandstaff went to the state cross country meet. He placed 15th overall. Mycah broke his personal record at the state meet.
The cast of this year’s musical “Annie” has increased the number of hours they have been practicing. They are preparing for the performance of the musical which will be November 15th and 16th. The cast has been working hard and hope many of their classmates and people in the community will come and support them.
