Doris LaMae German

Doris LaMae German, 88, of Van Wert, died at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born April 17, 1925, in New York City, the daughter of the late Herman and Olga (Yuhasz) Lattin. She married Charles Harvey German, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include six children, Sally (Rudolph) Grant, Ricky (Diane) German, Doris M. (Gordon) Finger, Tina (Mike) Pugsley, Sherry (Greg) Huston, and Charles Harvey (LeAnn) German Jr., all of Van Wert; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Charlene Robertshaw; and one son, Charles Harvey German (in infancy), also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Neil Hammons officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, at the funeral home.
