Beatrice Helen Pries Sanders

Beatrice Helen Pries Sanders, 85, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Vancrest Health Care Center of Convoy.

She was born April 27, 1925, in Olean, N.Y., the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Pries. On September 4, 1943, in Perrysburg, N.Y., she married Edward Sanders, who also preceded her in death on July 3, 1998.

Survivors include David (Carol) Sanders of Van Wert, a daughter-in-law, Ellen DeGroff of Florida; three sisters-in-law, Edna Gross of Jamestown, N.Y., Iola Priess of Gowanda, N.Y., and Faye Pries of Brandywine, Md.; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; six nieces; and six nephews.

A son, Leroy Sanders; two brothers, Robert Pries and James Pries; a sister, Betty Pfleuger.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, March 14, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Mary Ann Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at the funeral home.
