Changes made to Boys’ Tip-Off Classic

The Van Wert County Hospital eighth annual Boys’ Tip-Off Classic will be adjusted in the following manner, due to Wayne Trace’s advancement to the third week of the football playoffs.
On Friday, November 29, Lincolnview and Van Wert will play both junior varsity and varsity games, with the junior varsity tip set for 6 p.m.
On Saturday, Crestview will play the winner of Friday night’s varsity game, with the junior varsity game starting at 6 p.m.
Both Friday and Saturday night’s games will be played at Van Wert High School. Parking on the north and south side of the building will be available and will allow fans to gain admittance.
Ticket prices for games both nights will be $6 for adults and $4 for students. There will be no presale due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Wayne Trace and Crestview have rescheduled their opening round tip-off game for Saturday, December 28. The game will be played at Wayne Trace with a 6 p.m. start. Wayne Trace will also reschedule a JV/varsity game with the Lincolnview-Van Wert loser. That date is yet to be determined.
The originally scheduled junior varsity tip-off tournament to be held at Crestview has been cancelled.
