Girls’ Tip-Off Classic to begin tonight

Per approval on Tuesday afternoon by the Ohio High School Athletic Association, the McDonald’s girls’ basketball tip-off tournament will occur tonight and Saturday, November 21 and 23.

Crestview and Ottoville will play in the first game today, starting at 6 p.m., with Wayne Trace and Van Wert to follow.

On Saturday, the consolation game will begin at 6 p.m. with the championship game to follow.

Thursday’s tip-off date is a result of Wayne Trace’s involvement in the football playoffs on Friday.

Fans are to enter Van Wert High School on the south side and tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students.  There is no presale.

The JV tip-off games will proceed as scheduled, beginning Saturday at 10 a.m.
