Anita C. Uncapher
Anita C. Uncapher, 77, of Van Wert, died at 9:42 a.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born January 19, 1936, in Scott, the daughter of the late D. Keith and Alice (Pollock) Sperry. On February 14, 1970, she married John U. Uncapher, who preceded her in death on September 11, 1996.
Survivors include three stepchildren, Peter Uncapher, Greg Uncapher and Cindy (Jerry) Ramsay, all of Van Wert; a brother, Maurie (Leslie) Sperry of Roanoke, Ind.; one sister, Charlotte (Larry) Laukhuf of Haviland; three grandchildren, Tracy Uncapher of Sandusky, Andrew Ramsay of Washington Court House, and Allison Ramsay of Defiance; and a special niece, Cindy (Lyle) Quackenbush of Bradenton, Fla.
Two sisters, Marcia Eisenhut and Janice Elaine Sperry (in infancy), also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Uncapher was the current office manager at Eisenhauer Manufacturing Company in Van Wert and formerly was a medical secretary assistant for Dr. Robert Ball of Fort Wayne, Ind., for 25 years.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert and the United Methodist Women of the church, and also attended Elkhart (Ind.) University.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Josh Tissot officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Preferred memorials: Wesley United Methodist Church or the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
