The holiday lights will once again be shining on the Van Wert County Historical Society during the evening hours from November 29 through December 31.

Trimmed in lights and garland, the campus and buildings offer the feeling of “An Old Fashioned Holiday”.  Visitors are invited to make holiday memories, as the decorated campus becomes a wonderful backdrop for holiday photos.

“An Old Fashioned Holiday” continues at The Gift Shoppe at the Seven Oaks. Visits from local carolers will be featured on the Sundays of December 1, 8, and 15, from 2-4:30 p.m.  Santa himself will be visiting the Gift Shoppe on December 1. The last day for 2013 activities at the Van Wert County Historical Society will be December 15.

The trustees wish to thank all who have visited the campus during the 2013 season and also thank the docents and the junior curators for their dedication and support. The Van Wert County Historical Society will reopen March 2, 2014.

Be sure to include The Gift Shoppe at the Seven Oaks when shopping for that unique item on a Christmas list.  Holiday shopping hours for The Gift Shoppe at the Seven Oaks will be:

• Friday, November 29, 1-5 p.m.,
• Saturday, November 30, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Sunday December 1, 8, 15, from 2-4:30 p.m.
