Jacqueline R. Thompson

Jacqueline R. Thompson, 87, of Huntsville and a former resident of Van Wert, died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Ivan Sam and Ethel Rose (Putman) Mahan. On December 14, 1984, she married Don R. Thompson, who survives in Huntsville.

Also surviving are a son, Todd (Deb) McFarland of Waterford, Mich., two grandchildren, Joshua T. (Megan) McFarland of Midland, Mich., and Caitlin N. McFarland of Waterford, Mich.

Jackie was employed as an office administrator for both the late Dr. F.A. McCammon and then the former Aeroquip Corporation in Van Wert. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Van Wert and was a volunteer in many charitable organizations in and around the Indiana Lake and Huntsville area.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert.

Preferred memorials: Donations in her memory can be made to Our Daily Bread or the Indian Lake area or First United Methodist Church in Van Wert.
