Off Stage sets auditions for newest play

Off Stage Productions, a community theatre company providing quality and affordable dinner theatre, proudly announces open auditions for its upcoming comedy production, Nana’s Naughty Knickers, written by Katherine DiSavino. This romantic farce will be directed by Carol Snyder.

Open auditions are set for Sunday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 28, at 7 p.m. at the Van Wert Senior Center, 220 Fox Road in Van Wert. The cast consists of 10 people: 3-5 males and 5-6 females, with an age range of 20s through 80s. No prior acting experience necessary.

Scripts are available for review before auditions at Premier Financial, 211 S. Walnut St. in Van Wert. Call 419-605-6708 for more information. Plan now to attend the production, with five show dates for consideration: March 28-30 and April 4-5

The storyline is as follows: Bridget and her grandmother are about to become roommates; however, what Bridget saw as a unique opportunity to stay with her favorite Nana in New York for the summer quickly turns into an experience she’ll never forget.

It seems her sweet grandma is running an illegal boutique from her apartment, selling hand-made naughty knickers to every senior citizen in the five-borough area! Will Bridget be able to handle all the excitement? Will Nana get arrested (or worse) evicted?
