Ervin E. Fabian
Ervin E. “Butch” Fabian of Delphos died Thursday, January 16, 2014, at his residence.

He was born September 19, 1943, in Convoy, the son of the late Ervin “Dutch” and Elizabeth (Burk) Fabian.
Survivors include four children, Keith (Maria) Fabian of Willsox, Ariz., Holly (Dave) Baird of Delphos, Stacy (Robert) Wilson of Convoy and Nicole Riley of Celina; two stepchildren, Eunice Bernhardt of New Bremen, Texas, and Kevin Miller of Benson, Ariz.; two brothers, Ed
(Faith) Fabian of Convoy and Paul (Robin) Fabian of Van Wert; a sister, Donna Scott of Paulding; 13 grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Tosh, Jamie Bennett, Derek Poling, Dallas Baird, Rachael Wilson, Christian Riley, Elizabeth Baird, Reanna Wilson, Deberah Wilson, Cade Riley, Andrew Siequeiros, Amanda Enrico and Raymi Rios; five great-grandchildren; and his dog, Bosco.
A brother, Raymond E. Fabian; and one brother-in-law, Jim Scott, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Fabian was retired from Kennedy Manufacturing Company in Van Wert. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a lifetime member of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both in Van Wert, and was a member of the VFW color guard. He was also a big supporter and giving blood through the American Red Cross and had previously been a member of the Van Wert and Delphos Eagles organizations.
A military committal service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, January 25, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, January 25, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial: American Legion/Disabled American Veterans in Van Wert.
