Paulding County Agronomy Day set

PAULDING — The Ohio State University Extension Office in Paulding County will be hosting its annual Agronomy Day on Thursday, January 30, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Topics for the Day will include: “Stepping up Soybean Production: Seed Treatments and Everything but the Kitchen Sink” by Laura Lindsey, “OSU Small Grains and Soybean Specialist”; “Are You and Your Heirs Ready to Continue the Farm Business” by David Marrison, OSU associate professor; “Use of Poultry, Swine and Dairy Manure with Crops in Northwest Ohio”, by Glen Arnold, OSUE state specialist; “Manure Management”; “Cover Crops – How does it relate to Soil Conservation and Water Quality” by Jim Hoorman, OSU associate professor.

Cost of the event is $25 if postmarked by January 25, and will include a light breakfast and catered lunch. Registration at the door is $30. Over 20 booths will be set up for producers to view from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and over the lunch hour. Speakers will begin at 9:30 that morning. Certified Crop Advisor credits are available for the day.
